Errors regarding MSCOMCTL.OCX

 

Q: Errors with MSCOMCTL.OCX being missing or not registered (Cannot Create Customer)

 

Sometimes with Windows 7 the MSCOMCTL.OCX cannot register properly, so when you use the program, you notice this error and cannot use the software or create a new customer. Verify also that this file exists on your system. There is a copy in the RepairPro directory but always use the one on your system first. This seems to happen more with Windows 7 64-Bit Operating Systems.

 

1) Go to start, programs, accessories, right click on Command Prompt and select run as adminstrator

2) Go to the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 directory from the Command Prompt

3) Type: regsvr32 MSCOMCTL.OCX

A Window should appear and say the file was correctly registered. Now try Repair Pro again.
